Les d\u00e9veloppeurs du projet Raspberry Pi ont annonc\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> sur le d\u00e9but du d\u00e9veloppement d'un nouveau pilote vid\u00e9o libre pour l'acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur graphique VideoCore VI, utilis\u00e9 dans les chips Broadcom. Ce nouveau pilote est bas\u00e9 sur l'API graphique Vulkan et est principalement destin\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 avec les cartes Raspberry Pi 4 et les mod\u00e8les qui seront lanc\u00e9s \u00e0 l'avenir (les capacit\u00e9s du GPU VideoCore IV, fourni avec le Raspberry Pi 3, ne suffisent pas pour une impl\u00e9mentation compl\u00e8te de Vulkan).<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9veloppement du nouveau pilote, en collaboration avec l'organisation Raspberry Pi Foundation, est men\u00e9 par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Igalia<\/a><\/noindex>. Pour l'instant, seule une prototype initial du pilote a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9, aptes \u00e0 effectuer les d\u00e9monstrations les plus simples. La premi\u00e8re version b\u00eata, qui pourra \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour ex\u00e9cuter certaines applications r\u00e9elles, est pr\u00e9vue pour \u00eatre publi\u00e9e dans la seconde moiti\u00e9 de l'ann\u00e9e 2020.<\/p>\n

Il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9 que la certification<\/a><\/noindex> du pilote Mesa v3d<\/a><\/noindex> (anciennement appel\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> vc5<\/a><\/noindex>), qui est reconnu comme enti\u00e8rement compatible avec OpenGL ES 3.1. Le pilote est certifi\u00e9 pour \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 avec la puce Broadcom BCM2711, utilis\u00e9e dans les cartes Raspberry Pi 4. L'obtention de la certification permet de revendiquer officiellement la compatibilit\u00e9 avec les normes graphiques et d'utiliser les marques d\u00e9pos\u00e9es associ\u00e9es de Khronos.<\/p>\n
