Les utilisateurs peuvent utiliser Bonsai<br \/>\npour relier plusieurs appareils Linux au sein d'un r\u00e9seau domestique lorsqu'ils ont besoin d'acc\u00e9der aux fichiers et aux donn\u00e9es des applications sur tous les ordinateurs, tout en \u00e9vitant de transmettre leurs donn\u00e9es \u00e0 des services cloud tiers. Le code du projet est \u00e9crit en langage C et <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.gnome.org\/chergert\/bonsai\">est fourni<\/a><\/noindex> sous licence GPLv3.<\/p>\n<p>Bonsai inclut un processus d'arri\u00e8re-plan bonsaid et une biblioth\u00e8que de fonctions libbonsai pour fournir des services similaires \u00e0 ceux du cloud. Le processus d'arri\u00e8re-plan peut \u00eatre ex\u00e9cut\u00e9 sur une station de travail principale ou sur un mini-ordinateur Raspberry Pi constamment en fonctionnement dans un r\u00e9seau domestique, connect\u00e9 \u00e0 un r\u00e9seau sans fil et \u00e0 un stockage de donn\u00e9es. Pour se connecter \u00e0 des appareils externes (autres PC, ordinateurs portables, t\u00e9l\u00e9phones, appareils IoT), un utilitaire nomm\u00e9 bonsai-pair est propos\u00e9 pour g\u00e9n\u00e9rer un jeton de connexion aux services. Apr\u00e8s la liaison, un canal chiffr\u00e9 (TLS) est \u00e9tabli pour acc\u00e9der aux services dans lequel des requ\u00eates D-Bus s\u00e9rialis\u00e9es sont utilis\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Bonsai ne se limite pas simplement \u00e0 fournir un acc\u00e8s partag\u00e9 aux donn\u00e9es, mais peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour cr\u00e9er des magasins d'objets accessibles depuis plusieurs syst\u00e8mes, avec prise en charge de la synchronisation partielle entre les appareils, des transactions, des index secondaires, des curseurs et la possibilit\u00e9 d'appliquer des modifications sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 chaque syst\u00e8me par-dessus une base de donn\u00e9es partag\u00e9e commune.
