Le 16 janvier, la version majeure de GNU Guile a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e - une impl\u00e9mentation int\u00e9gr\u00e9e du langage de programmation Scheme avec prise en charge du multithreading, de l'asynchronousit\u00e9, des op\u00e9rations r\u00e9seau et des appels syst\u00e8me POSIX, d'une interface binaire C, d'une analyse PEG, d'un REPL par r\u00e9seau, XML ; elle poss\u00e8de son propre syst\u00e8me de programmation orient\u00e9e objet.<\/p>\n

La principale caract\u00e9ristique de cette nouvelle version est la prise en charge compl\u00e8te de la compilation JIT, ce qui a permis d'acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le fonctionnement des programmes en moyenne de deux fois, avec un maximum de trente-deux fois pour le benchmark mbrot. Compar\u00e9 \u00e0 la machine virtuelle Guile de la version stable pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, le jeu d'instructions est devenu plus bas niveau.<\/p>\n

La compatibilit\u00e9 avec les normes des langages de programmation Scheme R5RS et R7RS a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9lior\u00e9e, avec l'ajout de la prise en charge d'exceptions structur\u00e9es<\/a> et d'annonces et d'expressions altern\u00e9es<\/a> dans le contexte lexical.
