Si ces correctifs sont accept\u00e9s, ils feront partie du noyau Linux 5.6, dont la sortie est pr\u00e9vue dans 2 \u00e0 3 mois. Compar\u00e9 au pilote exFAT pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment ajout\u00e9 au noyau, le nouveau pilote offre une augmentation des performances d'environ 10 %.<\/p>\n<p>Les principales diff\u00e9rences entre la version du pilote sdfat pour le noyau Linux principal et le pilote utilis\u00e9 par Samsung sur Android :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Le code impl\u00e9mentant le syst\u00e8me de fichiers VFAT a \u00e9t\u00e9 supprim\u00e9, car ce syst\u00e8me de fichiers est d\u00e9j\u00e0 pris en charge s\u00e9par\u00e9ment dans le noyau (fs\/fat);\n<li class=\"l\"> Le pilote a \u00e9t\u00e9 renomm\u00e9 de sdfat en exfat;\n<li class=\"l\"> Le code a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9organis\u00e9. Les sources ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mises en conformit\u00e9 avec les exigences de formatage du code pour le noyau Linux;\n<li class=\"l\"> Des optimisations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es pour les op\u00e9rations sur les m\u00e9tadonn\u00e9es, telles que la cr\u00e9ation de fichiers, la recherche d'\u00e9l\u00e9ments de syst\u00e8me de fichiers (lookup) et la d\u00e9termination du contenu d'un r\u00e9pertoire (readdir).\n<li class=\"l\"> Les erreurs identifi\u00e9es lors de tests suppl\u00e9mentaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 corrig\u00e9es.\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rappelons qu'apr\u00e8s que la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Microsoft <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51374\">a publi\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> sp\u00e9cifications publiques et a offert la possibilit\u00e9 d'utiliser gratuitement les brevets sur exFAT dans Linux, une version exp\u00e9rimentale &#171;staging&#187; (&#171;drivers\/staging\/&#187;) du noyau 5.4 a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e, incluant \u00e9galement un pilote exFAT, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par Samsung, mais bas\u00e9 sur  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/dorimanx\/exfat-nofuse\">un code obsol\u00e8te<\/a><\/noindex> (version 1.2.9). Un nouveau pilote sdFAT (2.x) a \u00e9t\u00e9 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51490\">port\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> mais la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Samsung a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de promouvoir ce pilote dans le noyau principal de Linux. De plus, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Paragon Software a ouvert <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51724\">un pilote alternatif<\/a><\/noindex>, auparavant fourni dans un ensemble de pilotes propri\u00e9taires.<\/p>\n<p>Le syst\u00e8me de fichiers exFAT a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Microsoft pour \u00e9liminer les limitations de FAT32 lors de son utilisation sur de gros supports Flash. Le support du syst\u00e8me de fichiers exFAT est apparu dans Windows Vista Service Pack 1 et Windows XP avec Service Pack 2. La taille maximale des fichiers par rapport \u00e0 FAT32 a \u00e9t\u00e9 augment\u00e9e de 4 Go \u00e0 16 exaoctets, la limite de taille maximale des partitions de 32 Go a \u00e9t\u00e9 supprim\u00e9e, une carte des blocs libres a \u00e9t\u00e9 introduite pour r\u00e9duire la fragmentation et augmenter la vitesse, et la limite du nombre de fichiers dans un r\u00e9pertoire a
