Le paquet se distingue par une faible consommation de ressources syst\u00e8me et des moyens flexibles pour \u00e9tendre les fonctionnalit\u00e9s via des plugins, ce qui permet d'appliquer ConnMan sur des syst\u00e8mes embarqu\u00e9s. \u00c0 l'origine, le projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9 par les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s Intel et Nokia lors du d\u00e9veloppement de la plateforme MeeGo, par la suite, le syst\u00e8me de configuration r\u00e9seau bas\u00e9 sur ConnMan a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 dans la plateforme Tizen et dans certaines distributions sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es et projets, tels que Yocto, Sailfish, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aldebaran-robotics.com\/\">Aldebaran Robotics<\/a><\/noindex> et <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nest.com\/\">Nest<\/a><\/noindex>, ainsi que dans divers appareils grand public avec des firmware bas\u00e9s sur Linux. Le code du projet <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/git.kernel.org\/?p=network\/connman\/connman.git;a=summary\">est distribu\u00e9<\/a><\/noindex> sous licence GPLv2.<\/p>\n<p>La nouvelle version <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.kernel.org\/pub\/scm\/network\/connman\/connman.git\/commit\/?id=1ee420ace2b8edb0d4025f469aaa3d00d220dc98\">se distingue<\/a><\/noindex> assure le support VPN <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=44695\">WireGuard<\/a><\/noindex>  et le d\u00e9mon Wi-Fi <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51779\">IWD<\/a><\/noindex> (- iNet Wireless Daemon), d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par Intel comme une alternative l\u00e9g\u00e8re \u00e0 wpa_supplicant, adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 l'organisation de la connexion des syst\u00e8mes Linux embarqu\u00e9s \u00e0 des r\u00e9seaux sans fil.<\/p>\n<p>Le composant cl\u00e9 de ConnMan est le processus en arri\u00e8re-plan connmand, qui g\u00e8re les connexions r\u00e9seau. L'interaction et la configuration de diff\u00e9rents types de sous-syst\u00e8mes r\u00e9seau se font via des plugins. Par exemple, des plugins pour Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2G\/3G\/4G, VPN (Openconnect, OpenVPN, vpnc), PolicyKit, obtention d'adresses par DHCP, fonctionnement via des serveurs proxy, configuration du r\u00e9solveur DNS, accumulation de statistiques sont disponibles. Pour interagir avec les appareils, la sous-syst\u00e8me netlink du noyau Linux est utilis\u00e9, et pour communiquer avec d'autres applications, les commandes sont transmises via D-Bus.
