Apr\u00e8s deux ans de d\u00e9veloppement publi\u00e9e<\/a><\/noindex> version du projet GNU Mcron 1.2<\/a><\/noindex>, dans le cadre duquel se d\u00e9veloppe la mise en \u0153uvre du syst\u00e8me cron, \u00e9crit en langage Guile. Dans cette nouvelle version, un nettoyage complet du code a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9 \u2014 tout le code en langage C a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9\u00e9crit et le projet comprend d\u00e9sormais uniquement les sources en langage Guile.<\/p>\n

Mcron est 100 % compatible avec Vixie cron et peut servir de remplacement transparent. En plus du format de configuration Vixie cron, Mcron offre la possibilit\u00e9 de d\u00e9finir des scripts pour le lancement p\u00e9riodique de t\u00e2ches \u00e9crites en langage Scheme. L'impl\u00e9mentation de Mcron contient trois fois moins de lignes de code que Vixie cron. Mcron peut \u00eatre ex\u00e9cut\u00e9 sans privil\u00e8ges root pour traiter les t\u00e2ches de l'utilisateur actuel (l'utilisateur peut lancer son propre d\u00e9mon mcron).<\/p>\n

La caract\u00e9ristique cl\u00e9 du projet est une approche diff\u00e9rente de l'organisation de la planification de l'ex\u00e9cution des t\u00e2ches \u2014 au lieu d'une surveillance constante du temps, Mcron utilise une file d'attente lin\u00e9aire pour d\u00e9finir des d\u00e9lais entre l'activation de chaque \u00e9l\u00e9ment de la file. Pendant les p\u00e9riodes entre l'activation des t\u00e2ches, Mcron est compl\u00e8tement inactif. Cette approche r\u00e9duit consid\u00e9rablement les frais g\u00e9n\u00e9raux li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'utilisation de cron et augmente la pr\u00e9cision d'ex\u00e9cution des t\u00e2ches. <\/p>\n
