Les malfaiteurs ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 acc\u00e9der au serveur de construction (buildbot) et aux d\u00e9p\u00f4ts sur GitHub.<\/p>\n<p>Sur GitHub, les malfaiteurs ont eu acc\u00e8s \u00e0 tous <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/libretro\">les d\u00e9p\u00f4ts<\/a><\/noindex> Les organisations Libretro, en utilisant le compte de l'un des participants de confiance du projet. L'activit\u00e9 des cybercriminels s'est limit\u00e9e au vandalisme \u2014 ils ont tent\u00e9 de vider le contenu des d\u00e9p\u00f4ts en ins\u00e9rant un commit initial vide. Au cours de l'attaque, tous les d\u00e9p\u00f4ts pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s sur trois des neuf pages de la liste des d\u00e9p\u00f4ts Libretro sur Github ont \u00e9t\u00e9 vid\u00e9s. Heureusement, l'acte de vandalisme a \u00e9t\u00e9 bloqu\u00e9 par les d\u00e9veloppeurs avant que les attaquants n'atteignent le d\u00e9p\u00f4t cl\u00e9. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/libretro\/RetroArch\">RetroArch<\/a><\/noindex>. <\/p>\n<p>Sur le serveur de construction, les attaquants ont endommag\u00e9 les services qui effectuent la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de builds nocturnes et stables, ainsi que ceux charg\u00e9s de l'organisation  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/lobby.libretro.com\/\">des jeux en r\u00e9seau<\/a><\/noindex> (lobby netplay). L'activit\u00e9 malveillante sur le serveur s'est limit\u00e9e \u00e0 la suppression de contenus. Aucun essai de substitution de fichiers ou de modifications des builds RetroArch et des packages principaux n'a \u00e9t\u00e9 constat\u00e9. Actuellement, le fonctionnement de Core Installer, Core Updater et Netplay Lobby, ainsi que des sites et services associ\u00e9s (Update Assets, Update Overlays, Update Shaders), est perturb\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Le principal probl\u00e8me auquel le projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9 apr\u00e8s l'incident a \u00e9t\u00e9 l'absence d'un processus automatis\u00e9 de sauvegarde. La derni\u00e8re sauvegarde du serveur buildbot a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e il y a plusieurs mois. Les probl\u00e8mes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 expliqu\u00e9s par les d\u00e9veloppeurs comme \u00e9tant dus au manque d'argent pour un syst\u00e8me de sauvegarde automatis\u00e9, en raison d'un budget limit\u00e9 pour maintenir l'infrastructure. Les d\u00e9veloppeurs ont l'intention de ne pas restaurer l'ancien serveur, mais de lancer un nouveau, dont la cr\u00e9ation \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vue. Dans ce cas, les builds pour les syst\u00e8mes principaux, tels que Linux, Windows et Android, seront lanc\u00e9s imm\u00e9diatement, mais la restauration des builds pour des syst\u00e8mes sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, tels que les consoles de jeux et les anciennes builds MSVC, prendra du temps.<\/p>\n<p>Il est pr\u00e9vu que GitHub, auquel une demande a \u00e9t\u00e9 envoy\u00e9e, puisse aider \u00e0 restaurer le contenu des d\u00e9p\u00f4ts nettoy\u00e9s et \u00e0 identifier l'attaquant. On sait pour l'instant que le piratage a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9 depuis l'adresse IP 54.167.104.253, ce qui signifie qu'il est probable que l'attaquant ait utilis\u00e9 un serveur virtuel compromis sur AWS comme point de relais.
