L'utilisation de paquets binaires provenant d'Ubuntu permet de r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement le temps de pr\u00e9paration et de test de la version, tout en garantissant la compatibilit\u00e9 des paquets avec les d\u00e9p\u00f4ts d'Ubuntu, tout en conservant la compatibilit\u00e9 avec les paquets classiques Puppy au format PET. Une interface Quickpet est propos\u00e9e pour l'installation d'applications suppl\u00e9mentaires et la mise \u00e0 jour du syst\u00e8me.<\/p>\n<p> L'environnement graphique de l'utilisateur repose sur le gestionnaire de fen\u00eatres JWM, le gestionnaire de fichiers ROX, un ensemble de configureurs GUI (Puppy Control Panel), des widgets (Pwidgets \u2014 horloge, calendrier, flux RSS, \u00e9tat de la connexion, etc.) et des applications (Pburn, Uextract, Packit, Change_kernels, JWMdesk, YASSM, Pclock, SimpleGTKradio). Le navigateur utilis\u00e9 est Palemoon.
