Le 12 janvier, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Open Source Security, connue pour son d\u00e9veloppement grsecurity<\/a>, a annonc\u00e9 le parrainage du d\u00e9veloppement du frontend du compilateur GCC pour prendre en charge le langage de programmation Rust — gccrs.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l'origine, gccrs a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 parall\u00e8lement au compilateur Rustc d'origine, mais en raison de l'absence de sp\u00e9cifications pour le langage et des fr\u00e9quents changements rompus de compatibilit\u00e9 au d\u00e9but, le d\u00e9veloppement a \u00e9t\u00e9 temporairement suspendu et n'a repris qu'apr\u00e8s le lancement de Rust 1.0.<\/p>\n

Open Source Security motive sa participation par la possibilit\u00e9 d'int\u00e9gration de code Rust dans le noyau Linux et par le fait que le noyau est le plus souvent compil\u00e9 avec gcc.
