Izdanje je formirano na temelju osnovnog skupa paketa distribucije SUSE Linux Enterprise, uz neke korisni\u010dke aplikacije iz repozitorija openSUSE Tumbleweed. Dostupan je univerzalni DVD-izdanje veli\u010dine 4.4 GB (x86_64, aarch64, ppc64les, 390x), smanjena slika za instalaciju s preuzimanjem paketa putem mre\u017ee (146 MB) i Live-izdanja s KDE, GNOME i Xfce.      <\/p>\n<p>Klju\u010dna zna\u010dajka openSUSE Leap 15.3 je kori\u0161tenje zajedni\u010dkog skupa binarnih paketa s SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP 3, umjesto ranijih praksi ponovne izrade src-paketa SUSE Linux Enterprise. Pretpostavlja se da \u0107e kori\u0161tenje istih binarnih paketa u SUSE i openSUSE olak\u0161ati migraciju s jedne distribucije na drugu, u\u0161tedjeti resurse na izradi paketa, distribuciji a\u017euriranja i testiranju, ujedna\u010diti razlike u spec-dokumentima i omogu\u0107iti odmak od dijagnosticiranja razli\u010ditih izdanja paketa prilikom analize gre\u0161aka.      <\/p>\n<p>Druge novosti:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> A\u017eurirani su pojedina\u010dni dijelovi distribucije. Kao i u prethodnom izdanju, i dalje se isporu\u010duje osnovna Linux jezgra, pripremljena na temelju verzije 5.3.18. Sustavni menad\u017eer systemd a\u017euriran je na verziju 246 (ranije je isporu\u010den izdanjem 234), a upravitelj paketa DNF na verziju 4.7.0 (bila je 4.2.19).\n<li class=\"l\"> A\u017eurirana su korisni\u010dka su\u010delja Xfce 4.16, LXQt 0.16 i Cinnamon 4.6. Kao i u prethodnom izdanju, i dalje su dostupni KDE Plasma 5.18, GNOME 3.34, Sway 1.4, MATE 1.24, Wayland 1.18 i X.org Server 1.20.3. Paket Mesa a\u017euriran je s izdanja 19.3 na 20.2.4 s podr\u0161kom za OpenGL 4.6 i Vulkan 1.2. Predlo\u017eena su nova izdanja LibreOffice 7.1.1, Blender 2.92, VLC 3.0.11.1, mpv 0.32, Firefox 78.7.1 i Chromium 89. Iz repozitorija su uklonjeni paketi s KDE 4 i Qt 4.\n<li class=\"l\">  Omogu\u0107eni su novi paketi za istra\u017eiva\u010de koji se bave strojnim u\u010denjem: TensorFlow Lite 2020.08.23, PyTorch 1.4.0, ONNX 1.6.0, Grafana 7.3.1.\n<li class=\"l\"> A\u017eurirani su alati za izolirane kontejnere: Podman 2.1.1-4.28.1, CRI-O 1.17.3, containerd 1.3.9-5.29.3, kubeadm 1.18.4.\n<li class=\"l\"> Za programere su dostupni Go 1.15, Perl 5.26.1, PHP 7.4.6, Python 3.6.12, Ruby 2.5, Rust 1.43.1.\n<li class=\"l\"> Zbog problema s licencom iz paketa apr-util, cyrus-sasl, iproute2, perl, php7, postfix i rpm uklonjena je biblioteka Berkeley DB. Grana Berkeley DB 6 preba\u010dena je na AGPLv3, \u010diji zahtjevi se odnose i na aplikacije koje koriste BerkeleyDB u obliku biblioteke. Na primjer, RPM se isporu\u010duje pod GPLv2, a AGPL nije kompatibilna s GPLv2.\n<li class=\"l\"> Dodana podr\u0161ka za IBM Z i LinuxONE sustave (s390x).        <\/ul>\n<p>Izvor: <a
