Ova ranjivost omogu\u0107ava zamjenu unosa preko simulacije aktivnosti ulaznog ure\u0111aja povezanog putem Bluetooth-a. Kada zlonamjerni korisnik dobije pristup tipkovni\u010dkom unosu, mo\u017ee izvoditi razne radnje, poput izvr\u0161avanja naredbi u sustavu, instaliranja aplikacija i preusmjeravanja poruka.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/noindex>  <\/p>\n<p>Ranjivost je uzrokovana time \u0161to host drajveri HID (Human Interface Device) za Bluetooth ure\u0111aje imaju na\u010din rada koji omogu\u0107ava udaljenom perifernom ure\u0111aju da stvara i uspostavlja enkriptirane veze bez autentifikacije. Takvi povezani ure\u0111aji mogu slati poruke s tipkovnice, a HID stack ih obra\u0111uje, \u0161to otvara mogu\u0107nost za napad zamjene HID poruka koji se mo\u017ee izvesti bez sudjelovanja korisnika. Ovaj napad mo\u017ee se provesti na udaljenosti do 100 metara od \u017ertve.<\/p>\n<p>Mekanik uparivanja ure\u0111aja bez autentifikacije definiran je u Bluetooth specifikaciji i, ovisno o postavkama Bluetooth stacka, omogu\u0107uje povezivanje ure\u0111aja bez potvrde od korisnika. Na primjer, u Linuxu, kada se koristi Bluetooth stack BlueZ, za skriveno uparivanje Bluetooth adapter mora biti u na\u010dinu otkrivanja i povezivanja. Na Androidu je dovoljno omogu\u0107iti podr\u0161ku za Bluetooth. Na iOS-u i macOS-u, za uspje\u0161an napad, Bluetooth mora biti uklju\u010den, a be\u017ei\u010dna tipkovnica povezana.<\/p>\n<p>Mogu\u0107nost zamjene unosa demonstrirana je na Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, 22.04 i 23.10 s Bluetooth stackom baziranim na paketu BlueZ. ChromeOS nije ranjiv jer njegove postavke Bluetooth stacka ne dopu\u0161taju veze bez autentifikacije. Na Androidu, ranjivost poga\u0111a ure\u0111aje s verzijama platforme od 4.2.2 do 14. Na macOS-u, ranjivost je demonstrirana na MacBook Pro 2022 s Apple M2 procesorom i macOS 13.3.3, kao i na MacBook Air 2017 s Intel procesorom i macOS 12.6.7. Na iOS-u, ranjivost je demonstrirana na iPhone SE s iOS 16.6. Ispravci za Android objavljeni su samo za grane 11-14. Za Pixel ure\u0111aje, ranjivost je otklonjena u prosina\u010dkom a\u017euriranju firmvera.
