Korijen problema le\u017ei u kori\u0161tenju oslobodene memorije (use-after-free) u modulu nf_tables, odgovornom za funkcionalnost filtriranja paketa nftables.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/noindex>  <noindex><\/p>\n<p>Ranjivost <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.kernel.org\/pub\/scm\/linux\/kernel\/git\/torvalds\/linux.git\/commit\/?id=3c4287f62044\">aktualna<\/a> od verzije jezgre Linux 5.6. Ispravak <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.kernel.org\/pub\/scm\/linux\/kernel\/git\/torvalds\/linux.git\/commit\/?id=317eb9685095678f2c9f5a8189de698c5354316a\">predlo\u017eeno je<\/a> u testnoj verziji jezgre Linux 6.7-rc5 i implementiran je u trenutne stabilne grane 5.10.204, 5.15.143, 6.1.68 i 6.6.7.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex> <noindex><\/p>\n<p>Problem je uzrokovan gre\u0161kom u funkciji nft_pipapo_walk, koja ne provodi provjeru ponavljanja tijekom prolaska kroz elemente PIPAPO (Pile Packet Policies). To dovodi do dvostrukog osloba\u0111anja memorije. Za uspje\u0161an napad potreban je pristup nftables, koji se mo\u017ee dobiti posjedovanjem prava CAP_NET_ADMIN u bilo kojem korisni\u010dkom podru\u010dju (user namespace) ili mre\u017enom podru\u010dju (network namespace). Ova prava mogu biti dodijeljena, na primjer, u izoliranim kontejnerima.
