Izvorni kod projekta napisan je na jeziku C i dostupan je pod GPLv2 licencom. <\/p>\n<p>Asterisk 24 pripada kategoriji verzija s produ\u017eenom podr\u0161kom (LTS), a a\u017euriranja \u0107e se izdavati tijekom pet godina umjesto uobi\u010dajenih dvije godine. Podr\u0161ka za prethodnu LTS verziju Asterisk 22 trajat \u0107e do listopada 2029. godine, a za verziju Asterisk 20 do listopada 2027. godine.
