Instalacijski imagei RHEL 7.8  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/access.redhat.com\/downloads\/\">su dostupne<\/a><\/noindex> za preuzimanje samo registriranim korisnicima Red Hat Customer Portala i pripremljeni su za arhitekture x86_64, IBM POWER7+, POWER8 (big endian i little endian) i IBM System z. Izvori paketa mogu se preuzeti iz <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.centos.org\/\">Git repozitorija<\/a><\/noindex> projekta CentOS. <\/p>\n<p>Grana RHEL 7.x odr\u017eava se paralelno s granom <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50644\">RHEL 8.x<\/a><\/noindex> i bit \u0107e podr\u017eavana do lipnja 2024. Prva faza podr\u0161ke za granu RHEL 7.x, koja uklju\u010duje dodavanje funkcionalnih pobolj\u0161anja, zavr\u0161ena je. Izdanje RHEL 7.8 ozna\u010dilo je <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/access.redhat.com\/support\/policy\/updates\/errata\">prelazak<\/a><\/noindex> na fazu odr\u017eavanja, u kojoj su prioriteti preba\u010deni na ispravke gre\u0161aka i sigurnosne mjere, uz mala pobolj\u0161anja vezana uz podr\u0161ku va\u017enih hardverskih sustava. Za one koji \u017eele pre\u0107i na novu granu, nakon objave izdanja Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.2 korisnicima \u0107e biti omogu\u0107eno a\u017euriranje sustava s Enterprise Linux 7.8.<\/p>\n<p>Najistaknutije <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/access.redhat.com\/documentation\/en-us\/red_hat_enterprise_linux\/7\/html-single\/7.8_release_notes\/index\">promjene<\/a><\/noindex>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Promijenjen je su\u010delje za prebacivanje virtualnih radnih povr\u0161ina u GNOME Classic okru\u017eenju, gumb za prebacivanje premje\u0161ten je u donji desni kut i oblikovan je kao trakica s miniaturom.\n<li class=\"l\"> Dodana je podr\u0161ka za nove opcije Linux kernela (poglavito vezane uz upravljanje aktiviranjem za\u0161tite od novih napada na mehanizam spekulativnog izvr\u0161avanja CPU): audit, audit_backlog_limit, ipcmni_extend, nospectre_v1, tsx, tsx_async_abort, mitigations.\n<li class=\"l\"> Za gostuju\u0107e sustave s Windowsima, koji koriste ActivClient drivere, implementirana je mogu\u0107nost dijeljenja pristupa pametnim karticama.\n<li class=\"l\"> A\u017euriran je paket samba 4.10.4.\n<li class=\"l\"> Dodana je implementacija SHA-2 algoritma optimizirana za IBM PowerPC procesore.\n<li class=\"l\"> U OpenJDK je dodana podr\u0161ka za \u0161ifriranje pomo\u0107u elipti\u010dnih krivulja secp256k1.\n<li class=\"l\"> Osigurana je potpuna podr\u0161ka za SAS adaptere Aero (drivere mpt3sas i megaraid_sas).\n<li class=\"l\"> Dodani su EDAC (Error Detection and Correction) driveri za Intel ICX sustave.\n<li class=\"l\"> Implementirana je mogu\u0107nost montiranja particija koriste\u0107i FUSE mehanizam u prostorima imenskih identifikatora korisnika (user namespace), \u0161to, na primjer, omogu\u0107uje kori\u0161tenje fuse-overlayfs naredbe u kontejnerima bez root privilegija.\n<li class=\"l\"> Ograni\u010denje za broj IPC identifikatora (ipcmin_extend) pove\u0107ano je s 32 tisu\u0107e na 16 milijuna.\n<li class=\"l\"> Osigurana je potpuna podr\u0161ka za Intel Omni-Path Architecture (OPA).\n<li class=\"l\"> Dodana je nova uloga \u201estorage\u201c (RHEL Sustavne Uloge), koja se mo\u017ee koristiti za upravljanje lokalnim pohranjivanjem (datote\u010dnim sustavima, LVM volumima i logi\u010dkim particijama) putem Ansibla.\n<li class=\"l\"> U SELinux-u je omogu\u0107eno pokretanje grafi\u010dke sesije za korisnike grupe sysadm_u.\n<li class=\"l\"> Dodana je podr\u0161ka za DIF\/DIX (Data Integrity Field\/Data Integrity Extension) za neke host adaptere (HBA). U Qlogic HBA dodana je potpuna podr\u0161ka za NVMe\/FC (NVMe preko Fibre Channel).\n<li class=\"l\">  Omogu\u0107ena je eksperimentalna (Technology Preview) podr\u0161ka za OverlayFS, Btrfs, eBPF, HMM (upravljanje heterogenom memorijom), kexec, SME (Secure Memory Encryption), criu (Checkpoint\/Restore u korisni\u010dkom prostoru), Cisco usNIC, Cisco VIC, Trusted Network Connect, SECCOMP u libreswan, USBGuard, blk-mq, YUM 4, USB 3.0 u KVM-u, No-IOMMU za VFIO, konverzije slika Debian i Ubuntu putem virt-v2v, OVMF (Open Virtual Machine Firmware), systemd-importd, DAX (direktan pristup datote\u010dnom sustavu bez kori\u0161tenja razine blok ure\u0111aja) u ext4 i XFS, pokretanje radne povr\u0161ine GNOME kori\u0161tenjem Waylanda, postepeno skaliranje u GNOME.\n<li class=\"l\"> U sastav su uklju\u010deni novi drajveri:\n<ul>\n<li> halt poll cpuidle (cpuidle-haltpoll.ko.xz).\n<li> Intel Trace Hub upravlja\u010d (intel_th.ko.xz).\n<li> Intel Trace Hub ACPI upravlja\u010d (intel_th_acpi.ko.xz).\n<li>    Intel Trace Hub Global Trace Hub (intel_th_gth.ko.xz).\n<li>    Intel Trace Hub Memory Storage Unit (intel_th_msu.ko.xz).\n<li>    Intel Trace Hub PCI upravlja\u010d (intel_th_pci.ko.xz).\n<li>    Intel Trace Hub PTI\/LPP izlaz (intel_th_pti.ko.xz).\n<li>    Intel Trace Hub Software Trace Hub (intel_th_sth.ko.xz).\n<li>   dummy_stm (dummy_stm.ko.xz).\n<li>
