Po <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.powerdns.com\/software.html\">podacima<\/a><\/noindex> prema rije\u010dima programera projekta, PowerDNS Authoritative Server upravlja otprilike 30% ukupnog broja domena u Europi (ako uzmemo u obzir samo domene s DNSSEC potpisima, to je 90%). Izvorni kod projekta <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/PowerDNS\/pdns\">distribuira se<\/a><\/noindex> pod GPLv2 licenci.<\/p>\n<p>PowerDNS Authoritative Server omogu\u0107ava pohranu informacija o domenama u raznim bazama podataka, uklju\u010duju\u0107i MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite3, Oracle i Microsoft SQL Server, kao i u LDAP i obi\u010dnim tekstualnim datotekama u BIND formatu. Isporuka odgovora mo\u017ee biti dodatno filtrirana (na primjer, za isklju\u010divanje ne\u017eeljene po\u0161te) ili preusmjerena pomo\u0107u vlastitih obrtnika na jezicima Lua, Java, Perl, Python, Ruby, C i C++.
