Dodani kod u &#171;ZFS on Linux&#187; je testiran u granama FreeBSD 11 i 12. Tako su sada desarrollatori FreeBSD oslobo\u0111eni od odr\u017eavanja vlastite sinkronizirane verzije &#171;ZFS on Linux&#187;, a razvoj svih povezanih promjena s FreeBSD \u0107e se provoditi u glavnom projektu. Osim toga, funkcionalnost glavne grane &#171;ZFS on Linux&#187; u procesu razvoja \u0107e se testirati u sustavu kontinuirane integracije. <\/p>\n<p>Podsjetimo, da su u prosincu 2018. godine programeri FreeBSD-a iznijeli <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=49815\">inicijativu<\/a><\/noindex> prijelaza na implementaciju ZFS od projekta &#171;<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/zfsonlinux.org\/\">ZFS na Linuxu<\/a><\/noindex>&#187; (ZoL), oko kojeg se u posljednje vrijeme koncentrirala sva aktivnost vezana uz razvoj ZFS. Kao razlog migracije spomenuta je stagnacija kodne baze ZFS od projekta Illumos (fork OpenSolaris), koja se ranije koristila kao osnova za prijenos povezanih promjena u ZFS u FreeBSD. Glavni doprinos podr\u0161ci kodne baze ZFS u Illumos do nedavno je davao Delphix, koji razvija operativni sustav <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/delphix\/delphix-os\">DelphixOS<\/a><\/noindex> (fork Illumos). Prije dvije godine, Delphix je donio odluku o prijelazu na &#171;ZFS on Linux&#187;, \u0161to je dovelo do stagnacije ZFS od projekta Illumos i koncentracije cijele povezane razvojne aktivnosti u projektu &#171;ZFS on Linux&#187;, koji se sada smatra glavnom implementacijom <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/open-zfs.org\">OpenZFS<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<p>Razvijatelji FreeBSD odlu\u010dili su slijediti op\u0107i primjer i ne poku\u0161avati zadr\u017eati Illumos, jer je ta implementacija ve\u0107 jako zastarjela u funkcionalnosti i zahtijeva velike resurse za odr\u017eavanje koda i prijenos promjena. &#171;ZFS on Linux&#187; se sada smatra glavnim zajedni\u010dkim projektom za razvoj ZFS. Me\u0111u mogu\u0107nostima koje su dostupne u &#171;ZFS on Linux&#187; za FreeBSD, ali nisu prisutne u implementaciji ZFS od Illumos: multihost na\u010din (\"<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/zfsonlinux\/zfs\/commit\/379ca9cf2beba802f096273e89e30914a2d6bafc\">MMP<\/a><\/noindex>, Multi Modifier Protection), pro\u0161ireni sustav kvota, enkripcija skupova podataka, odvojeni izbor klasa raspodjele blokova (allocation classes), kori\u0161tenje vektorskih procesorskih instrukcija za ubrzanje implementacije RAIDZ i izra\u010duna kontrolnih zbrojeva,
