Bootable image distribucije <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/porteus-kiosk.org\/public\/5.1\/\">zauzima<\/a><\/noindex> 110 MB. <\/p>\n<p>Osnovna verzija uklju\u010duje samo minimalni skup komponenti potrebnih za pokretanje web preglednika (podr\u017eani su Firefox i Chrome), koji je ograni\u010den u svojim funkcijama kako bi se sprije\u010dila ne\u017eeljena aktivnost u sustavu (nema promjene postavki, blokira se preuzimanje\/instalacija aplikacija, otvoren je samo pristup odabranim stranicama). Dodatno su dostupne specijalizirane verzije Cloud za udoban rad s web aplikacijama (Google Apps, Jolicloud, OwnCloud, Dropbox) i ThinClient za rad kao tanki klijent (Citrix, RDP, NX, VNC i SSH) te Server za upravljanje mre\u017eom kioska.<\/p>\n<p>Postavke se vr\u0161e putem posebnog <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/porteus-kiosk.org\/wizard.html\">\u010darobnjaka<\/a><\/noindex>, koji je kombiniran s instalatorom i omogu\u0107uje pripremu prilago\u0111ene verzije distribucije za pohranu na USB Flash ili tvrdom disku. Na primjer, mo\u017ee se postaviti zadana stranica, definirati bijela lista dopu\u0161tenih web stranica, postaviti lozinka za goste, odrediti vremensko ograni\u010denje neaktivnosti za zavr\u0161etak sesije, promijeniti pozadinsku sliku, prilagoditi izgled preglednika, dodati dodatne dodatke, omogu\u0107iti podr\u0161ku za be\u017ei\u010dnu mre\u017eu, postaviti prebacivanje rasporeda tipkovnice itd.  <\/p>\n<p>Prilikom pokretanja provodi se provjera komponenti sustava prema kontrolnim zbrojevima, a sustavni imid\u017e se montira u re\u017eimu samo za \u010ditanje. A\u017euriranja se instaliraju <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/porteus-kiosk.org\/automatic-updates.html\">automatski<\/a><\/noindex> kori\u0161tenjem mehanizma za skladi\u0161tenje i atomsku zamjenu cijelog sustavnog imid\u017ea. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/porteus-kiosk.org\/remote-management.html\">Mogu\u0107a je<\/a><\/noindex> centralizirana udaljena postavka grupe tipi\u010dnih internetskih kioska s preuzimanjem konfiguracije putem mre\u017ee. Zbog malih dimenzija, prema zadanim postavkama, distribucija se u\u010ditava cijela u RAM, \u0161to omogu\u0107uje znatno pove\u0107anje brzine rada. <\/p>\n<p>U <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/porteus-kiosk.org\/changelog-releases.html#5.1.0\">novom izdanju<\/a><\/noindex>:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Verzije programa sinkronizirane su s Gentoo repozitorijem
