A macOS update called OSX Catalina is set to be released in October 2019. After this, support for all 32-bit applications and games on Mac will cease.

Mint game designer Paolo Pedercini from Italy stated on Twitter that OSX Catalina will effectively "kill" all 32-bit applications, and most games running on Unity 5.5 or earlier versions will no longer work.
This was, however, expected. During the announcement of macOS Mojave, Apple had warned that it would be the last version to support 32-bit applications. Interestingly, Catalina will also block software created by unverified developers.
Specifically, users will lose access to games like Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands, GTA: San Andreas, Portal, and many other titles. They will also lose several Adobe Systems applications. Notably, Electronic Arts had previously announced that it would stop supporting The Sims 4 on older OS versions. However, for compatibility, the company released Sims 4: Legacy Edition, which supports 64-bit systems.
It’s worth noting that Canonical had already attempted to phase out 32-bit applications in the Ubuntu operating system. This immediately sparked outrage from users and the company Valve, which promised to leave the OS without Steam games. This had an impact — the developers quickly reversed their decision, announcing support for 32-bit applications at least until 2030. In Apple's case, however, the outcome seems to be different.
