HOST domain

A domain is an identifier for a web page on the Internet. Firms and companies can be found on the Internet by their domain names. For example, the domain name www.prohoster.info serves to find the registrar ProHoster online.

A top-level domain (TLD) is the part of the domain name that comes after the last dot (for example, https://www.prohoster.info). There are different top-level domains: .com, .org, .biz, .net, etc.

DNS or Domain Name System is a hierarchically organized database system responsible for mapping domain names to their corresponding IP addresses.

A domain registration only includes the rights to the domain name you purchase (for example, prohoster.info) for the rental period of the domain, usually from one to ten years. You can set the contact information for the domain, change the name server delegation, and add records.

Yes. If you host the domain name with us, you can also create and host subdomains. To create a subdomain for a domain name that is already in your account, follow these simple instructions:

• Log in to your account
• Select the Products/Services tab and choose Domains
• After selecting the domain for which you want to create a subdomain in the interface, click on Add Subdomain
• Enter the desired subdomain
• Choose the domain hosting option and click ‘Continue’.

The duration depends on how quickly the Registrar transfers the domain name from the Seller to the Buyer. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to six weeks.

You can speed up this process by sending a request to the current registrar asking for an expedited transfer. Transferring a domain in international zones — .COM, .NET, .ORG, and others — takes from 7 to 14 calendar days.

There are several steps after your domain expires to protect you from losing any domains you want to keep.

• Approximately 30 days before the expiration of your domain, we begin sending you reminders to the email address you provided when registering the domain name.
• You will receive at least two reminders before the expiration and one reminder within five days after expiration.
• If you cannot ensure payment before the domain registration expiry date, your domain name will expire.

A kivásárlási időszak akár 30 napig is tarthat az eredeti hosszabbítási kedvezményes időszak után. Lehet, hogy ezen idő alatt még használhatja a domént. A domain újraaktiválási díja általában megegyezik a meghosszabbítás költségével. A helyreállítási időszak végén a domainek egy 5 napos törlési ciklusba lépnek, ezt követően elérhetők regisztrációra.
