A Yuzu emulator can now run the recently released Pokémon Sword and Shield for Nintendo Switch.
You won't be able to fully enjoy the project right now, however, the fact that the emulator was able to run Pokémon Sword and Shield without any difficulties already says a lot. Currently, the version suffers from numerous bugs, but the Yuzu developer intends to fix them as soon as possible.
Pokémon Sword and Shield are a new generation of the main Pokémon series, available for the first time on a home system. Previously, releases were strictly for portable consoles, while stationary devices received spin-offs in the form of fighting games, action games, and other genres. The events of Pokémon Sword and Shield unfold in a new region called Galar. The game offers much less content than previous entries since development for home consoles forced Game Freak to focus its main efforts on graphics. Nevertheless, the last aspect has been criticized by fans: the user rating on Metacritic .
Pokémon Sword and Shield was exclusively released for Nintendo Switch on November 15.
