A «Rosel Elektronika» holding, part of the state corporation Rostec, has unveiled an advanced unmanned aerial vehicle called «Corsair».
The drone is designed for all-weather aerial reconnaissance, patrol, and observation flights, as well as for aerial photography.
The design of the drone utilizes innovative engineering solutions that provide advantages in terms of maneuverability, altitude, and range.
Specifically, the «Corsair» can fly at altitudes of over 5000 meters. This makes it unreachable by small arms and many types of portable anti-aircraft missile systems.
Another advantage of the drone is its long operational time. The «Corsair» can stay in the air for up to eight hours.
The wingspan of the drone is 6.5 meters, while the fuselage length is 4.2 meters. The drone weighs approximately 200 kilograms.
The «Corsair» can be used for both military and civilian purposes. Specifically, the device can monitor the environment, control road situations, observe infrastructure objects, and search for people during emergencies.
