A Paramount Pictures film studio listened to fans of the Sonic gaming universe and completely revamped the cinematic version of the famous supersonic hedgehog. You can see his new look in the fresh trailer for the film 'Sonic the Hedgehog'.
Recall that this spring the studio released of the film, which sparked a storm of criticism from fans. The hedgehog shown there was not only far from his gaming prototype, but at times looked like he came from a horror movie. Even one of the creators of the gaming series, Yuji Naka, ironically wondered whether the film was really about Sonic. Overall, the reaction was so intense that Paramount moved the film's release date and decided to completely redraw the main character. The new premiere is set for February 14, 2020.
In the new trailer, the character's appearance is much closer to his classic look. Now Sonic has taken on a more cartoonish appearance: with big eyes, a shorter body, gloves on his hands, and without those scary teeth (initially they looked as if he had a human denture in his mouth).
'Sonic the Hedgehog' is a live-action adventure comedy. Sonic arrives from his world to Earth, meets a new friend, Tom Wachowski (James Marsden), and together they embark on a hilarious journey to escape from Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey). The cunning doctor has a plan to take over the world — for this he needs to catch Sonic and harness his incredible power.
