December 1 saw the release of version 1.3.0 of the console utility and library lowdown (a significantly improved fork hoedown), written in C and distributed under the ISC license.
The utility allows you to view or convert Markdown files into other formats: Gemini, HTML5, LaTeX, ODT or roff ($ man roff).
The package also includes the utility lowdown-diff, which allows you to output the differences between two Markdown files.
Változások listája:
- The documentation has been clarified to state that characters not conforming to the metadata key specification are replaced with underscores, rather than question marks as was previously the case.
- A new key —template has been added, allowing the use of custom templates similar to pandoc (originally for exporting to HTML files with the -thtml key). This is still an experimental feature, so conversions and syntax may change in future versions.
