December 26 saw the release of a Fedora remix, specifically designed for gaming and streaming. This version of Nobara is based on Fedora 39. Notably, the project is led by GloriousEggroll from the Proton-GE project.
Now, the default build is based on KDE Plasma, while the previous release featured GNOME as the main DE. Additional builds with GNOME are also available.
This version also includes:
- updates to the Gamescope compositor;
- the new version of Steam;
- updates to OBS Studio;
- updated NVIDIA graphics drivers included;
- enhancements to the Nautilus file manager (in the Gnome build);
- support for Steam Deck OLED;
