Az Elementary OS 5.1.6 disztribúció frissítése

Bemutatva disztribúció kiadása Elementary OS 5.1.6, mint gyors, nyílt forráskódú és adatvédelmet tisztelő alternatívaként a Windows és macOS számára. A projekt fő fókusza a minőségi tervezés, amely egy könnyen használható, minimális erőforrásigényű és gyors indítást biztosító rendszer létrehozására irányul. A felhasználók a saját Pantheon munkakörnyezetüket kapják.

Az eredeti Elementary OS összetevőinek fejlesztése során GTK3, Vala nyelv és saját Granite keretrendszer használatos. A disztribúció alapját az Ubuntu projekt fejlesztései képezik. A csomagok és a repók támogatásánál az Elementary OS 5.1.x kompatibilis az Ubuntu 18.04-tel. A grafikus környezet a saját Pantheon felületen alapul, amely olyan összetevőket foglal magában, mint a Gala ablakkezelő (a LibMutter alapját felhasználva), a WingPanel felső panel, a Slingshot indító, a Switchboard vezérlőpanel és az alsó tálca. Plank (a Vala nyelvre átírt Docky panel analógja) és a Pantheon Greeter üléskezelő (a LightDM alapjaira építve).

A környezet magában foglal egy szorosan integrált alkalmazáscsomagot, amely a felhasználói feladatok megoldásához szükséges. Az alkalmazások között a projekt saját fejlesztései dominálnak, mint a Pantheon Terminal terminálemulátor, a Pantheon Files fájlkezelő és a szövegszerkesztő Code és a Music (Noise) zenelejátszó. • A Code, a developer text editor designed for reading and writing code, has introduced the ability to scroll past the end of a file to place final code in a comfortable position on the screen. The process of saving and reading data about window size and position has been optimized to minimize disk access. The issue with shifting or clearing the sidebar with directories, which made the 'Open project folder...' button invisible, has been resolved.
  
• In the AppCenter, issues with high CPU load when displaying certain screenshots and hiding information about the presence of a Flatpak runtime update have been fixed.
• In the file manager, the color of the disk space indicator in the sidebar changes when free space is exhausted.
  Regressive changes in the file path selection panel that caused issues with selection and context menu invocation have been eliminated. File handling containing the '#' symbol has been streamlined. The problem with window resizing when there are long file names in the list has been resolved.
• In the video player, the processing of large video collections has been accelerated, and proper handling of missing or moved directories has been ensured.
  Issues with displaying external subtitles have been resolved.
• The time indicator now accurately displays event times from the calendar-scheduler created in a different time zone.
• The framework for developing graphical applications has been updated to version 5.5.0, which will be used in the release of Elementary OS 6. Granite, which has introduced new styles Granite.STYLE_CLASS_COLOR_BUTTON and Granite.STYLE_CLASS_ROUNDED. A sidebar (Gtk.STYLE_CLASS_SIDEBAR) has been added by default to the Granite.Widgets.SourceList widget. Some functions and widgets have been deprecated, for which adequate alternatives have appeared in GTK and GLib.
