A Red Hat developer named Hans de Goede introduced his project "Wayland Itches," aimed at stabilizing, fixing bugs, and addressing issues that arise when using Gnome on Wayland. This initiative was sparked by the developer's desire to use Fedora as his primary desktop distribution, but he is currently forced to switch back to Xorg due to numerous small issues.
Among the described issues:
- Problems with TopIcons extensions.
- Hotkeys and shortcuts do not work in VirtualBox.
- Unstable performance of Firefox builds on Wayland.
He invites anyone experiencing issues when using Gnome on Wayland to send an email describing the problem, and he will try to resolve it.
