Clicking on the indicator allows the requested authority to be activated or denied at any convenient moment.
The new mode will automatically apply to sites caught abusing notifications (for instance, displaying fake messages resembling chat messages, warnings, or system dialogs), as well as sites that experience a high rate of authority confirmation request declines. Websites are advised against using pop-ups or distracting advertising dialogs offering subscription to notifications, typically displayed before requesting authority. Authority requests should only be made after user-initiated actions, such as when the user clicks a special subscription checkbox in the menu or on a separate page. Before widespread activation, the new mode can be enabled using the setting "chrome://flags/#quiet-notification-prompts".
