An alpha version of the new XMPP server Xabber Server has been released.

Daniel Robbins, a Gentoo distribution founder who stepped away from the project in 2009, bemutatott the release of the distribution he is currently developing, Funtoo 1.4.Funtoo is based on the Gentoo package base and aims to further enhance existing technologies. Work is expected to begin next month on the release of Funtoo 2.0.

Among Funtoo's key features is support for automatic package builds from source code (packages are synchronized from Gentoo), using Konténerizálás for development, a distributed portage tree, a more compact build manifest format, application of the Metro toolkit for creating live builds. A new ebuild ‘nvidia-drivers’ with NVIDIA drivers has been added, distinct from the Gentoo Linux ebuild and using nvidia-kernel-modules for kernel module installation. The Mesa package has been updated to version 19.1.4, for which the ebuild provides support for the Vulkan API;
• Tools for managing isolated containers have been updated to
  LXC 3.0.4 and LXD 3.14. Ebuilds have been added for GPU access from Docker and LXD containers, enabling OpenGL use in containers;
• Python has been updated to version 3.7.3 (Python 2.7.15 is also offered as an alternative). Releases of Ruby 2.6, Perl 5.28, Go 1.12.6, JDK 1.8.0.202 have been updated. A specially prepared port of Dart 2.3.2 (dev-lang/dart) has been included for Funtoo.
