A year ago, I was learning C, mastering GTK, and in the process, I created a wrapper for Wine that simplifies the setup of many tedious tasks. Now, I have neither the time nor the energy to continue the project, but it had a convenient feature that adapts the Wine theme to the current GTK3 theme, which I have extracted into a separate command-line utility. I know that Wine-staging has a 'mimicry' feature for the GTK theme, but it is poorly executed; some widgets stop responding or disappear altogether, and this has been the case for several years, so my solution is much more usable, although far from perfect.
The utility 'pulls' colors from the current GTK-3 theme and optimally adjusts them for use with WinAPI widgets. The algorithm is optimized for both light and dark themes. Unfortunately, the characteristics of themes akin to 'Windows 95' do not allow achieving a modern flat design, and in any case, some widgets are displayed incorrectly. For picky users, there are several keys for more precise adjustment.
Usage:
—prefix, -p $PATH — path to the prefix
—not-run-winecfg, -w — do not launch Winecfg after applying the theme
—loader-dir, -l $DIR — path to an arbitrary Wine loader, for example, "/opt/wine-staging/bin"
—set-default, -d — cancel all color adjustments and return to default
—main-color, -m $COLOR — arbitrary background color for widgets, for example, "#fa4500"
—highlight-color, -c $COLOR — color for highlighting selected widgets
—active-color, -a $COLOR — color of the active window title
—inactive-color, -i $COLOR — color of the inactive window title
—text-color, -t $COLOR — text color
—contrast, -c $VALUE — contrast setting for the final theme, from 0.1 to 2.0, default is 1.0
