A projektet eredetileg az Amazon ind\u00edtotta el a saj\u00e1t infrastrukt\u00far\u00e1j\u00e1ban haszn\u00e1lt h\u00e1l\u00f3zati eszk\u00f6z\u00f6k felszerel\u00e9s\u00e9re. A DentOS k\u00f3dja C nyelven \u00edr\u00f3dott \u00e9s az Eclipse Public License szabad licenc alatt terjesztik.     <\/p>\n<p>A DentOS csomagkapcsol\u00e1si kezel\u00e9se a Linux SwitchDev kernel alrendszeren kereszt\u00fcl val\u00f3sul meg, amely lehet\u0151v\u00e9 teszi Ethernet switch-ekhez illeszt\u0151programok l\u00e9trehoz\u00e1s\u00e1t, amelyek k\u00e9pesek a keretek tov\u00e1bb\u00edt\u00e1s\u00e1hoz \u00e9s a h\u00e1l\u00f3zati csomagok feldolgoz\u00e1s\u00e1hoz szakosodott hardverchipeket ig\u00e9nybe venni. A szoftver alapja a szok\u00e1sos Linux h\u00e1l\u00f3zati verem, a NetLink alrendszer, valamint olyan eszk\u00f6z\u00f6k, mint az IPRoute2, tc (Traffic Control), brctl (Bridge Control) \u00e9s FRRouting, valamint a VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol), LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) \u00e9s MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol) protokollok.      <\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DentOS 2.0 kiad\u00e1s, egy h\u00e1l\u00f3zati oper\u00e1ci\u00f3s rendszer switch-ek sz\u00e1m\u00e1ra \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/9426360dce16e4666c54da9c67709ef2.jpg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>          <\/p>\n<p>A rendszer k\u00f6rnyezete az ONL (Open Network Linux) disztrib\u00faci\u00f3n alapul, amely a Debian GNU\/Linux csomagb\u00e1zist haszn\u00e1lja, \u00e9s telep\u00edt\u0151t, be\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1sokat \u00e9s illeszt\u0151programokat biztos\u00edt switch-ek ind\u00edt\u00e1s\u00e1hoz. Az ONL az Open Compute projekt keret\u00e9ben fejl\u0151dik \u00e9s olyan platformot k\u00e9pvisel, amely lehet\u0151v\u00e9 teszi speci\u00e1lis h\u00e1l\u00f3zati eszk\u00f6z\u00f6k l\u00e9trehoz\u00e1s\u00e1t, t\u00f6bb mint sz\u00e1z k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 switch modell telep\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9t t\u00e1mogatva. Tartalmazza azokat az illeszt\u0151programokat, amelyek a switch-ekn\u00e9l haszn\u00e1lt indik\u00e1torokkal, h\u0151m\u00e9rs\u00e9klet\u00e9rz\u00e9kel\u0151kkel, ventil\u00e1torokkal, I2C buszokkal, GPIO-val \u00e9s SFP transzceiver-ekkel val\u00f3 interakci\u00f3t biztos\u00edtanak. A kezel\u00e9shez haszn\u00e1lhat\u00f3k az IpRoute2 \u00e9s ifupdown2 eszk\u00f6z\u00f6k, valamint a gNMI (gRPC Network Management Interface). A konfigur\u00e1ci\u00f3 meghat\u00e1roz\u00e1s\u00e1hoz YANG adatmodelleket haszn\u00e1lnak (Yet Another Next Generation, RFC-6020).             <\/p>\n<p>A rendszer el\u00e9rhet\u0151 Marvell \u00e9s Mellanox ASIC alap\u00fa switch-ek sz\u00e1m\u00e1ra, amelyek ak\u00e1r 48 10 Gbps porttal rendelkeznek. T\u00e1mogatja a k\u00fcl\u00f6nf\u00e9le ASIC-ok \u00e9s h\u00e1l\u00f3zati adatok feldolgoz\u00e1s\u00e1ra szolg\u00e1l\u00f3 chipek m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00e9s\u00e9t, bele\u00e9rtve a Mellanox Spectrum, Marvell Aldrin 2 \u00e9s Marvell AC3X ASIC chipeket a csomagok hardveres tov\u00e1bb\u00edt\u00e1si t\u00e1bl\u00e1inak megval\u00f3s\u00edt\u00e1s\u00e1val.
