A k\u00f3d GPLv3 enged\u00e9ly alatt terjesztett. Az Ubuntu 16.10 \u00e9s 17.04 verzi\u00f3kban az Unity 7 mellett az Unity 8 fel\u00fclet is szerepelt, amelyet a Qt5 k\u00f6nyvt\u00e1rra portoltak. <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/hu\/server\/\"   title=\"szerver\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">szerver<\/a> Eredetileg a Canonical c\u00e9gn\u00e9l \u00fagy tervezt\u00e9k, hogy a GTK-t \u00e9s a GNOME technol\u00f3gi\u00e1kat haszn\u00e1l\u00f3 Unity 7 fel\u00fcletet a Unity 8 v\u00e1ltja fel, de a tervek megv\u00e1ltoztak, \u00e9s az Ubuntu 17.10-ben visszat\u00e9rtek az alap\u00e9rtelmezett GNOME-hoz, az Ubuntu Dock panellel, \u00e9s a Unity 8 fejleszt\u00e9s\u00e9t le\u00e1ll\u00edtott\u00e1k.     <\/p>\n<p>A Unity 8 fejleszt\u00e9s\u00e9t az UBports projekt vette \u00e1t, amely a Lomiri n\u00e9ven saj\u00e1t forkj\u00e1t fejleszti.
