A Corner bar applet has been introduced, which is placed on the right side of the panel and has replaced the show-desktop applet, which is now instead a separator between the menu button and the task list. The new applet allows binding different actions to different mouse button clicks; for instance, it can display the desktop contents without windows, show desklets, or invoke interfaces to switch between windows and virtual desktops. Its placement in the corner of the screen makes it easier to position the mouse pointer on the applet. The applet also provides a quick way to place files on the desktop, regardless of how many windows are open, by simply dragging the required files into the applet area.

In the Nemo file manager, in file list view mode with icons displayed, now only the name of selected files is highlighted, while the icon remains unchanged.
