Eleinte az OpenSilver projekt c\u00e9lja az volt, hogy eszk\u00f6z\u00f6ket ny\u00fajtson a megl\u00e9v\u0151 Silverlight-alkalmaz\u00e1sok \u00e9letben tart\u00e1s\u00e1hoz a Microsoft \u00e1ltali t\u00e1mogat\u00e1s le\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1sa \u00e9s a b\u00f6ng\u00e9sz\u0151k pluginjainak t\u00e1mogat\u00e1s\u00e1nak megsz\u00fcntet\u00e9se k\u00f6zepette. P\u00e9ld\u00e1ul a projekt keretein bel\u00fcl fejleszt\u00e9s alatt \u00e1ll egy fejleszt\u0151k\u00f6rnyezet (kieg\u00e9sz\u00edt\u0151 a Visual Studio-hoz), \u00faj C# nyelvverzi\u00f3k \u00e9s .NET platform t\u00e1mogat\u00e1sa, valamint JavaScript alap\u00fa k\u00f6nyvt\u00e1rakkal val\u00f3 kompatibilit\u00e1s biztos\u00edt\u00e1sa.    <\/p>\n<p>Az OpenSilver alapj\u00e1ul a Mono (mono-wasm) \u00e9s a Microsoft Blazor (az ASP.NET Core r\u00e9sze) ny\u00edlt forr\u00e1sk\u00f3d\u00fa projektjei szolg\u00e1lnak, m\u00edg a b\u00f6ng\u00e9sz\u0151ben val\u00f3 futtat\u00e1s \u00e9rdek\u00e9ben az alkalmaz\u00e1sokat WebAssembly k\u00f6ztes k\u00f3dra ford\u00edtj\u00e1k.
