A Chromium project repository has removed components necessary for building the Chrome browser for the Fuchsia operating system. It is noted that support for Fuchsia in Chrome was an experiment that has now ended. It is specifically mentioned that the reason for discontinuing support is the winding down of the Fuchsia development program for workstations. Support for the WebEngine and WebRunner browser components for Fuchsia will continue, but a separate full-fledged Chrome browser will not be provided. Further development of Fuchsia is likely to focus only on consumer devices such as home automation systems, smart photo frames, and speakers. <\/p>\n

Fuchsia has its own graphical interface developed in Dart using the Flutter framework. The project is also developing a framework for building user interfaces called Peridot, the package manager Fargo, the standard library libc, the Escher rendering system, the Vulkan driver Magma, the Scenic compositor, the MinFS, MemFS, ThinFS (FAT in Go) and Blobfs file systems, as well as the FVM partition manager. Application development supports C\/C++, Dart, and system components may also use Rust, with Go in the network stack and Python in the build system. <\/p>\n
