Eleinte az OpenSilver projekt c\u00e9lja az volt, hogy eszk\u00f6z\u00f6ket ny\u00fajtson a megl\u00e9v\u0151 Silverlight-alkalmaz\u00e1sok \u00e9letben tart\u00e1s\u00e1hoz a Microsoft \u00e1ltali t\u00e1mogat\u00e1s le\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1sa \u00e9s a b\u00f6ng\u00e9sz\u0151k pluginjainak t\u00e1mogat\u00e1s\u00e1nak megsz\u00fcntet\u00e9se k\u00f6zepette.
