Ek\u00f6zben folyamatban van az \u00f6sszes forr\u00e1sk\u00f3d megnyit\u00e1sa, a megmaradt tulajdonosi k\u00f3d \u00e1t\u00edr\u00e1sa \u00e9s a projekt k\u00f6z\u00f6ss\u00e9gi ir\u00e1ny\u00edt\u00e1s\u00fa fejleszt\u00e9si modellre val\u00f3 \u00e1tt\u00e9r\u00e9se. Az \u00f6sszes \u00faj k\u00f3d \u00e9s az \u00e1t\u00edrt r\u00e9gi k\u00f3d BSD licenc alatt ker\u00fcl nyilv\u00e1noss\u00e1gra.     <\/p>\n<p>Keletben az IRIX Interactive Desktop az SGI \u00e1ltal gy\u00e1rtott grafikus munka\u00e1llom\u00e1sokra ker\u00fclt, amelyek IRIX oper\u00e1ci\u00f3s rendszert futtattak, \u00e9s n\u00e9pszer\u0171s\u00e9g\u00fck cs\u00facsa a 1990-es \u00e9vek v\u00e9g\u00e9re tehet\u0151, gy\u00e1rt\u00e1suk pedig 2006-ig zajlott. A Linuxra k\u00e9sz\u00fclt fel\u00fclet a 5dwm ablakkezel\u0151re (OpenMotif alap\u00fa) \u00e9s az SGI-Motif k\u00f6nyvt\u00e1rakra \u00e9p\u00fcl. A k\u00f6rnyezet modul\u00e1ris architekt\u00far\u00e1val k\u00e9sz\u00fclt, amely mikroszolg\u00e1ltat\u00e1sokat haszn\u00e1l a munkaasztal komponenseinek k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 v\u00e9grehajt\u00e1s\u00e1hoz. T\u00f6bbek k\u00f6z\u00f6tt tartalmaz egy k\u00f6zponti rendszerfigyel\u0151 alrendszert (MaXXmonitor) \u00e9s egy konfigur\u00e1ci\u00f3kezel\u0151 rendszert, amely parancssori fel\u00fcletet \u00e9s API-t biztos\u00edt az alkalmaz\u00e1sok C, C++ \u00e9s Java nyelveken t\u00f6rt\u00e9n\u0151 integr\u00e1l\u00e1s\u00e1hoz.    <\/p>\n<p>A grafikus fel\u00fclet m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00e9se az OpenGL haszn\u00e1lat\u00e1val val\u00f3sult meg, lehet\u0151v\u00e9 t\u00e9ve a hardveres gyors\u00edt\u00e1st \u00e9s vizu\u00e1lis effektusokat.
