Mint emul\u00e1tor, a QEMU lehet\u0151v\u00e9 teszi olyan programok futtat\u00e1s\u00e1t, amelyeket egyetlen hardverplatformra \u00e1ll\u00edtottak \u00f6ssze egy teljesen m\u00e1s architekt\u00far\u00e1j\u00fa rendszeren, p\u00e9ld\u00e1ul ARM alkalmaz\u00e1s futtat\u00e1s\u00e1t x86 kompatibilis PC-n. A QEMU virtualiz\u00e1ci\u00f3s \u00fczemm\u00f3dban a k\u00f3d v\u00e9grehajt\u00e1s\u00e1nak teljes\u00edtm\u00e9nye az elk\u00fcl\u00f6n\u00edtett k\u00f6rnyezetben k\u00f6zel \u00e1ll a hardveres rendszer teljes\u00edtm\u00e9ny\u00e9hez, mivel k\u00f6zvetlen\u00fcl hajtja v\u00e9gre az utas\u00edt\u00e1sokat a CPU-n, \u00e9s haszn\u00e1lja a Xen hypervisort vagy a KVM modult Linux alatt, vagy a NVMM modult NetBSD-n.    <\/p>\n<p>A projektet eredetileg Fabrice Bellard ind\u00edtotta el azzal a c\u00e9llal, hogy lehet\u0151v\u00e9 tegye az x86 architekt\u00far\u00e1ra k\u00e9sz\u00fclt Linux futtathat\u00f3 f\u00e1jlok futtat\u00e1s\u00e1t m\u00e1s architekt\u00far\u00e1kon. A 10.0 verzi\u00f3 el\u0151k\u00e9sz\u00edt\u00e9se sor\u00e1n t\u00f6bb mint 2800 m\u00f3dos\u00edt\u00e1st hajtottak v\u00e9gre 211 fejleszt\u0151 \u00e1ltal.     <\/p>\n<p>A QEMU 10.0-ban hozz\u00e1adott kulcsfontoss\u00e1g\u00fa fejleszt\u00e9sek:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> A virtio-scsi meghajt\u00f3ba, amely egy virtu\u00e1lis SCSI-vez\u00e9rl\u0151t (SCSI Host Bus Adapter) biztos\u00edt, <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/hu\/vps\/\"   title=\"virtu\u00e1lis g\u00e9pekhez\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2201\">virtu\u00e1lis g\u00e9pekhez<\/a>t\u00e1mogat\u00e1st kapott a multiqueue rendszerekhez, lehet\u0151v\u00e9 t\u00e9ve a sorok megoszt\u00e1s\u00e1t k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 blokkeszk\u00f6z\u00f6k k\u00f6z\u00f6tt a t\u00f6bb sz\u00e1las hozz\u00e1f\u00e9r\u00e9s biztos\u00edt\u00e1sa \u00e9rdek\u00e9ben t\u00f6bbmagos rendszereken (a k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 sorokat egyetlen t\u00e1rol\u00f3n k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 I\/O sz\u00e1lak kezelhetik). A virtu\u00e1lis SCSI-vez\u00e9rl\u0151 teljes\u00edtm\u00e9nye kicsit elmarad a virtu\u00e1lis blokkeszk\u00f6z (virtio-blk) meghajt\u00f3t\u00f3l, de t\u00f6bb mint 28 lemez haszn\u00e1lat\u00e1t teszi lehet\u0151v\u00e9.\n<li class=\"l\"> A VFIO (Virtual Function I\/O) ter\u00e9n javult az IGD (Integrated Graphics Device) \u00e1tj\u00e1rhat\u00f3s\u00e1g\u00e1nak t\u00e1mogat\u00e1sa az integr\u00e1lt GPU-khoz, amelyeket az Intel 11.
