A projekt olyan disztrib\u00faci\u00f3kban haszn\u00e1latos, mint a RHEL, Fedora, SUSE, openSUSE, ALT Linux, Rosa Linux, OpenMandriva, Mageia, PCLinuxOS \u00e9s Tizen. Az RPM k\u00f3dja GPLv2 \u00e9s LGPLv2 licenc alatt terjed. Az RPM 5 verzi\u00f3 kihagy\u00e1sra ker\u00fclt, hogy elker\u00fclj\u00fck a Red Hat \u00e1ltal fejlesztett RPM-t\u0151l f\u00fcggetlen RPM5 projekttel val\u00f3 \u00e1tfed\u00e9seket, amelyet f\u00fcggetlen fejleszt\u0151k fejlesztettek.     <\/p>\n<p>Az RPM 6.0 f\u0151bb v\u00e1ltoz\u00e1sai:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00daj RPM 6 csomagform\u00e1tum t\u00e1mogat\u00e1sa, amely lehet\u0151v\u00e9 teszi t\u00f6bb mint 4 GB m\u00e9ret\u0171 csomagok l\u00e9trehoz\u00e1s\u00e1t. Az RPM 6 form\u00e1tumban 64 bites mez\u0151ket haszn\u00e1lnak, a titkos\u00edt\u00e1ssal kapcsolatos strukt\u00far\u00e1k korszer\u0171s\u00edtettek, \u00e9s MIME-inform\u00e1ci\u00f3k lettek hozz\u00e1adva a f\u00e1jlokhoz.     <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Az RPM 3 form\u00e1tum t\u00e1mogat\u00e1sa megsz\u0171nt. Az RPM 4 form\u00e1tum, amely a cpio-t haszn\u00e1lja, teljes m\u00e9rt\u00e9kben t\u00e1mogatott marad \u2014 a disztrib\u00faci\u00f3k saj\u00e1t bel\u00e1t\u00e1suk szerint d\u00f6nthetnek az RPM 4 form\u00e1tum haszn\u00e1lat\u00e1r\u00f3l.    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Alap\u00e9rtelmez\u00e9s szerint enged\u00e9lyezve van a csomagok hiteles\u00edt\u00e9se digit\u00e1lis al\u00e1\u00edr\u00e1sokkal.   <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Az rpmbuild seg\u00e9dprogramba be\u00e9p\u00edtett\u00e9k a helyi al\u00e1\u00edr\u00e1sok automatikus l\u00e9trehoz\u00e1s\u00e1nak t\u00e1mogat\u00e1s\u00e1t a build sor\u00e1n, az rpm seg\u00e9dprogramba pedig hozz\u00e1adt\u00e1k a &#171;&#8212;nosignature&#187; opci\u00f3t, amely lehet\u0151v\u00e9 teszi a csomag al\u00e1\u00edr\u00e1s n\u00e9lk\u00fcli telep\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9t.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Lehet\u0151s\u00e9g ny\u00edlik a GnuPG helyett a Rust nyelven \u00edrt Sequoia-sq eszk\u00f6zk\u00e9szlet haszn\u00e1lat\u00e1ra.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> A fejleszt\u00e9s sor\u00e1n lehet\u0151v\u00e9 v\u00e1lt a C++ (C++20) nyelv haszn\u00e1lata, nem csak a C nyelv.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Lehet\u0151s\u00e9g van t\u00f6bb OpenPGP al\u00e1\u00edr\u00e1s haszn\u00e1lat\u00e1ra minden csomag eset\u00e9ben.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Megsz\u0171nik az MD5, SHA1 \u00e9s DSA hash-ek t\u00e1mogat\u00e1sa.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> B\u0151v\u00fclt az rpmkeys seg\u00e9dprogram kulcsokkal kapcsolatos funkci\u00f3i, p\u00e9ld\u00e1ul az OpenPGP kulcsok friss\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9re haszn\u00e1lhat\u00f3 az &#171;rpmkeys &#8212;import&#187; parancs.   <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Csak teljes azonos\u00edt\u00f3k \u00e9s az OpenPGP kulcsok hash-nyomatai
