The LXQt interface follows the ideas of classic desktop organization but introduces modern design and techniques that enhance usability. LXQt is positioned as a lightweight, modular, fast, and user-friendly environment, incorporating the best features of LXDE and Razor-qt. The code is available on GitHub and is licensed under GPL 2.0+ and LGPL 2.1+. Ready builds are expected for Ubuntu (LXQt is offered by default in Lubuntu), Arch Linux, Fedora, openSUSE, Mageia, FreeBSD, ROSA, and ALT Linux.     <center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Megjelent az LXQt 2.3.0 asztali k\u00f6rnyezet. \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/23b9991fe769080193e59c08b3d90e3c.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>      <\/p>\n<p>Az \u00faj verzi\u00f3ban:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Improved support for the Wayland protocol. The lxqt-wayland-session component, which allows LXQt to run alongside various Wayland compositors (LabWC, WayFire, kwin_wayland, Sway, Hyprland, River, and Niri), has added a lxqt-qdbus handler that provides a universal wrapper over various qdbus commands, independent of the compositor. Automatically launched applications are now placed in the correct categories. The global scaling level can now only be set for X11, while in Wayland, the scaling level should be adjusted using the capabilities of compositors or external utilities, such as kanshi.\n<li class=\"l\"> In environments based on Wayland, the interface for switching between virtual desktops has been implemented in the panel when using compositors, <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/hu\/server\/\"   title=\"szerverek\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"1795\">szerverek<\/a>, supporting the ext-workspaces-v1 protocol, such as Labwc and Niri.\n<li class=\"l\"> A new backend based on IPC has been added to the panel to work over the Wayfire compositor (in terms of supported operations with the panel, Wayfire now ranks just behind KWin-Wayland).\n<li class=\"l\"> A \u201eCustom Command\u201d panel plugin has been implemented with support for structured output working with Wayland and X11, and the ability to update content during the output of a running command.\n<li class=\"l\"> The panel now allows activating the \u201eShow Desktop\u201d plugin through drag &amp; drop operations. The backlight control plugin now supports brightness adjustment using the mouse wheel. The Fancy Menu and Main Menu have been enhanced to support sorting elements according to locale.\n<li class=\"l\"> In the screenshot creation utility ScreenGrab, the ability to work in Wayland environments with compositing has been added. <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/hu\/server\/dts-dusseldorf\/\"   title=\"szerverek\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3466\">szerverek<\/a>, supporting the \u201ewlr_screencopy\u201d protocol. In X11-based environments, improvements have been made to color highlighting for the selected area.\n<li class=\"l\"> In the PCManFM-Qt file manager, a \u201eSafely Remove\u201d option for secure media removal has been added to the context menu of the sidebar.
