A fejlesztő cakehonolulu átportolta a Linuxot az Atari Jaguar játékkonzolra 1993-ban. A konzolon sikerült betölteni a Linux 7.2.0-rc1+ magot és egy minimalista felhasználói környezetet BusyBox alapon, amely nemcsak az emulátorra, hanem a valódi hardverre való illesztésre is vonatkozik, kazettán keresztül.

</noindex>

</noindex>

Ezek a részletek a Linux betöltéséhez szükséges dolgok Jaguaron.

</noindex>

A felhasználói környezetet maximálisan le kellett csökkenteni. MMU hiányában nem ELF fájlokat, hanem FLAT binárisokat használnak; a BusyBox közvetlenül shell-ként fut, anélkül, hogy a standard applet hivatkozások telepítése megtörténne, mivel ez memóriahiányhoz vezetett. Emellett az uClibc-t Buildroot-on keresztül kellett konfigurálni, beleértve az egyszerű memóriakezelési stratégiát, a malloc-simple-t; erről bővebben a Felhasználói tér.

</noindex>

A módosított mag forráskódja elérhető a cakehonolulu/linux_jag.
