A Deno platform is designed for the isolated execution of server applications in JavaScript and TypeScript using the V8 engine. The project was led by Ryan Dahl, the creator of Node.js. This new platform was created to provide a more secure environment and eliminate conceptual mistakes made in the architecture of Node.js. To enhance security, the wrapper around the V8 engine is written in Rust, while the Tokio platform is used for handling requests in a non-blocking manner. The runtime is provided as a standalone executable file (\"deno\"), without any external dependencies and does not require any special installation in the system. In addition to the runtime, the Deno platform also serves as a package manager and allows modules to be accessed via URL within the code.
