If a firmware event frame is received from an external source, the driver discards it, but if the event is received over the internal bus, the frame is passed through. The issue is that the internal bus carries events from devices using USB, allowing attackers to successfully send firmware control frames when using wireless adapters with USB interfaces.\n<li class=\"l\"> CVE-2019-9500 \u2013 enabling the 'Wake-up on Wireless LAN' feature can cause a heap overflow in the brcmfmac driver (brcmf_wowl_nd_results function) through sending a specially crafted control frame. This vulnerability can be exploited to execute code in the host system after the chip has been compromised or in combination with CVE-2019-9503 to bypass checks when a control frame is sent
