All of this allows motherboard manufacturers to create very flexible and functional platforms based on X570 with a large number of high-speed PCIe slots, M.2, various network controllers, high-speed ports for peripherals, and more.<\/p>\n

The power dissipation of the X570 chipset is indeed 15 W compared to 6 W for last generation chipsets, but AMD mentions some \"simplified\" version of X570, where power dissipation will be reduced to 11 W by eliminating some PCI Express 4.0 lanes. Nevertheless, X570 still remains quite a hot chip, primarily due to the integration of a high-speed PCI Express bus controller into the chip.<\/p>\n

AMD has confirmed that the X570 chipset was developed in-house, while the design of previous chipsets was done by an external contractor — ASMedia.<\/p>\n
