Kiad\u00e1sra ker\u00fclt az OpenWrt disztrib\u00faci\u00f3 \u00faj verzi\u00f3ja 18.06.7<\/a> \u00e9s 19.07.1<\/a>, amelyben jav\u00edt\u00e1st kaptak vulnerability<\/a> a CVE-2020-7982 hib\u00e1ra az opkg csomagkezel\u0151ben, amely lehet\u0151v\u00e9 tette a MITM-t\u00e1mad\u00e1st \u00e9s a let\u00f6lt\u00f6tt csomag tartalm\u00e1nak megv\u00e1ltoztat\u00e1s\u00e1t a t\u00e1rol\u00f3b\u00f3l. A checksum ellen\u0151rz\u00e9s k\u00f3dj\u00e1ban l\u00e9v\u0151 hib\u00e1nak k\u00f6sz\u00f6nhet\u0151en a t\u00e1mad\u00f3 figyelmen k\u00edv\u00fcl hagyhatta a csomag SHA-256 ellen\u0151rz\u0151 \u00f6sszeg\u00e9t, ami lehet\u0151v\u00e9 tette a let\u00f6lt\u00f6tt ipk-er\u0151forr\u00e1sok integrit\u00e1s\u00e1nak ellen\u0151rz\u0151 mechanizmusainak megker\u00fcl\u00e9s\u00e9t.<\/p>\n

A probl\u00e9ma 2017 febru\u00e1rja \u00f3ta l\u00e9tezik, amikor a checksum el\u0151tt \u00e1ll\u00f3 kezdeti sz\u00f3k\u00f6z\u00f6k figyelmen k\u00edv\u00fcl hagy\u00e1s\u00e1ra k\u00f3d ker\u00fclt bevezet\u00e9sre. A sz\u00f3k\u00f6z\u00f6k kihagy\u00e1sa miatt a mutat\u00f3 nem mozdult el a karakterl\u00e1ncban, \u00e9s a SHA-256 hexadecim\u00e1lis sorozat dek\u00f3dol\u00e1sa sor\u00e1n a ciklus azonnal visszaadta az ir\u00e1ny\u00edt\u00e1st, \u00e9s \u00fcres hossz\u00fas\u00e1g\u00fa checksumot hozott l\u00e9tre.<\/p>\n

A csomagkezel\u0151, az opkg root jogosults\u00e1gokkal val\u00f3 fut\u00e1sa miatt a t\u00e1mad\u00f3 m\u00f3dos\u00edthatta az ipk-csomag tartalm\u00e1t a MITM-t\u00e1mad\u00e1s v\u00e9grehajt\u00e1sa sor\u00e1n, mik\u00f6zben a felhaszn\u00e1l\u00f3 az «opkg install» parancsot futtatta, \u00e9s a saj\u00e1t k\u00f3dja root jogosults\u00e1gokkal t\u00f6rt\u00e9n\u0151 v\u00e9grehajt\u00e1s\u00e1t v\u00e9gezhette el \u00fagy, hogy a csomaghoz saj\u00e1t, telep\u00edt\u00e9skor megh\u00edvott kezel\u0151szkripteket adott hozz\u00e1. Az exploit haszn\u00e1lat\u00e1hoz a t\u00e1mad\u00f3nak emellett m\u00f3dos\u00edtania kellett a csomagindexet (p\u00e9ld\u00e1ul a downloads.openwrt.org \u00e1ltal szolg\u00e1ltatottat). A m\u00f3dos\u00edtott csomag m\u00e9ret\u00e9nek meg kell egyeznie az eredetivel, az index alapj\u00e1n.<\/p>\n
