A Python-csomagok PyPI (Python Package Index) katalogus\u00e1ban \u00e9szlelt<\/a><\/noindex> rosszindulat\u00fa csomagok «python3-dateutil<\/a><\/noindex>» \u00e9s az «jeIlyfish<\/a><\/noindex>«, amelyeket egy olgired2017 nev\u0171 szerz\u0151 t\u00f6lt\u00f6tt fel, \u00e9s n\u00e9pszer\u0171 csomagok « alatt \u00e1lc\u00e1zta \u0151ket.dateutil<\/a><\/noindex>» \u00e9s az «jellyfish<\/a><\/noindex>» (k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6zik az «I» (i) \u00e9s az «l» (L) karakter haszn\u00e1lat\u00e1val a n\u00e9vben). K\u00f6zvetlen\u00fcl a rosszindulat\u00fa k\u00f3d a «jeIlyfish» csomagban volt, m\u00edg a «python3-dateutil» csomag alkalmazta ezt mint f\u00fcgg\u0151s\u00e9get.
\nA neveket arra alapozt\u00e1k, hogy a figyelmetlen felhaszn\u00e1l\u00f3k elg\u00e9pelhetnek keres\u00e9s k\u00f6zben (tipogr\u00e1fiai hib\u00e1k<\/a><\/noindex>). A rosszindulat\u00fa «jeIlyfish» csomagot k\u00f6r\u00fclbel\u00fcl egy \u00e9vvel ezel\u0151tt, 2018. december 11-\u00e9n t\u00f6lt\u00f6tt\u00e9k fel, \u00e9s \u00e9szrev\u00e9tlen maradt. A «python3-dateutil» csomagot 2019. november 29-\u00e9n t\u00f6lt\u00f6tt\u00e9k fel, \u00e9s n\u00e9h\u00e1ny nappal k\u00e9s\u0151bb gyan\u00fat keltett egy fejleszt\u0151n\u00e9l. Az rosszindulat\u00fa csomagok telep\u00edt\u00e9si sz\u00e1m\u00e1r\u00f3l nincs inform\u00e1ci\u00f3.<\/p>\n

A jellyfish csomag tartalmazott egy k\u00f3dot, amely a GitLab alap\u00fa k\u00fcls\u0151 t\u00e1rol\u00f3b\u00f3l t\u00f6lt\u00f6tte le a «hash-ek» list\u00e1j\u00e1t. A h\u00f6lgyhez val\u00f3 hozz\u00e1rendel\u00e9s logik\u00e1j\u00e1nak elemz\u00e9se sor\u00e1n kider\u00fclt, hogy a «hash-ek» egy base64 k\u00f3dolt szkriptet tartalmaznak, amely dek\u00f3dol\u00e1s ut\u00e1n futtathat\u00f3.
