A tipei hitelez\u00e9st \u00e1ltal\u00e1ban rosszindulat\u00fa csomagok terjeszt\u00e9s\u00e9re haszn\u00e1lj\u00e1k, azt felt\u00e9telezve, hogy a figyelmetlen fejleszt\u0151 hib\u00e1t v\u00e9t a keres\u00e9s sor\u00e1n vagy nem veszi \u00e9szre a k\u00fcl\u00f6nbs\u00e9get. A kutat\u00e1s sor\u00e1n t\u00f6bb mint 700 csomagot azonos\u00edtottak, amelyek neve hasonl\u00edt n\u00e9pszer\u0171 csomagok\u00e9val, \u00e9s apr\u00f3 r\u00e9szletekben elt\u00e9rnek, p\u00e9ld\u00e1ul hasonl\u00f3 bet\u0171k cser\u00e9j\u00e9vel vagy als\u00f3 von\u00e1sok haszn\u00e1lat\u00e1val a k\u00f6t\u0151jelek helyett. <\/p>\n<p>T\u00f6bb mint 400 csomagban tal\u00e1ltak olyan \u00f6sszetev\u0151ket, amelyekb\u0151l rosszindulat\u00fa tev\u00e9kenys\u00e9gekre gyanakodtak. K\u00fcl\u00f6n\u00f6sen \u00e9rdemes megeml\u00edteni az aaa.png f\u00e1jlt, amely PE form\u00e1tumban futtathat\u00f3 k\u00f3dot tartalmazott. Az eml\u00edtett csomagokat k\u00e9t fi\u00f3kkal kapcsolt\u00e1k \u00f6ssze, amelyek 2020. febru\u00e1r 16. \u00e9s 25. k\u00f6z\u00f6tt \u00f6sszesen <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.reversinglabs.com\/hubfs\/Blog\/ruby_malicious_gems.txt\">724 rosszindulat\u00fa csomagot<\/a><\/noindex>, amelyeket \u00f6sszesen k\u00f6r\u00fclbel\u00fcl 95 000 alkalommal t\u00f6lt\u00f6ttek le. A kutat\u00f3k \u00e9rtes\u00edtett\u00e9k a RubyGems adminisztr\u00e1torait, \u00e9s a felfedezett rosszindulat\u00fa csomagokat m\u00e1r elt\u00e1vol\u00edtott\u00e1k a t\u00e1rol\u00f3b\u00f3l. <\/p>\n<p>A felt\u00e1rt probl\u00e9m\u00e1s csomagok k\u00f6z\u00fcl a legn\u00e9pszer\u0171bb az &#171;atlas-client&#187; volt, amely els\u0151 r\u00e1n\u00e9z\u00e9sre szinte megk\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6ztethetetlen a leg\u00e1lis &#171;csomagt\u00f3l.<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/rubygems.org\/gems\/atlas_client\">atlas_client<\/a><\/noindex>&#171;. A megadott csomagot 2100 alkalommal t\u00f6lt\u00f6tt\u00e9k le (a norm\u00e1l csomag 6496 alkalommal lett let\u00f6ltve, teh\u00e1t a felhaszn\u00e1l\u00f3k majdnem 25%-ban t\u00e9vedtek). A t\u00f6bbi csomagot \u00e1tlagosan 100-150 alkalommal t\u00f6lt\u00f6tt\u00e9k le, \u00e9s m\u00e1s csomagokk\u00e9nt \u00e1lc\u00e1zt\u00e1k magukat hasonl\u00f3 al\u00e1h\u00faz\u00e1s- \u00e9s k\u00f6t\u0151jelhelyettes\u00edt\u00e9si technik\u00e1k haszn\u00e1lat\u00e1val (p\u00e9ld\u00e1ul az egyesek k\u00f6z\u00f6tt). <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.reversinglabs.com\/hubfs\/Blog\/ruby_malicious_gems.txt\">rosszindulat\u00fa csomagok<\/a><\/noindex>: appium-lib, action-mailer_cache_delivery, activemodel_validators, asciidoctor_bibliography, assets-pipeline, apress_validators, ar_octopus-replication-tracking, aliyun-open_search, aliyun-mns, ab_split, apns-polite).<\/p>\n<p>A k\u00e1rt\u00e9kony csomagok egy PNG-f\u00e1jlt tartalmaztak, amelyben a k\u00e9p helyett egy Windows platformra k\u00e9sz\u00fclt v\u00e9grehajthat\u00f3 f\u00e1jl volt. A f\u00e1jlt az Ocra Ruby2Exe seg\u00e9dprogram seg\u00edts\u00e9g\u00e9vel k\u00e9sz\u00edtett\u00e9k, \u00e9s egy \u00f6nkit\u00f6m\u00f6r\u00edt\u0151 arch\u00edvumot tartalmazott Ruby-szkripttel \u00e9s Ruby-\u00e9rtelmez\u0151vel. A csomag telep\u00edt\u00e9se sor\u00e1n a png f\u00e1jl exe-re lett \u00e1tnevezve \u00e9s futtatva. A v\u00e9grehajt\u00e1s sor\u00e1n egy VBScript f\u00e1jl k\u00e9sz\u00fclt, amely az automatikus ind\u00edt\u00e1sba ker\u00fclt.
