Secondo rilascio alpha dell'installer di Debian 11 "Bullseye"

Presentato second alpha release of the installer for the next significant Debian release — "Bullseye". The release is expected in mid-2021.

Key changes in the installer compared to the first alpha release:

  • The Linux kernel has been updated to version 5.4;
  • Installation information block templates for system clock setup, highlighting the freshly installed system in the boot menu, and incorrect IP address input have been updated;
  • A check for the installation of tasksel (standard package sets for various installation modes of the distribution) has been added to pkgsel, irrespective of its priority. A debconf template has been added to allow completely skipping tasksel (installation and request for standard set selection) while still keeping access to other pkgsel features;
  • When installing with a dark theme, high contrast mode has been ensured;
  • Support for compiz ezoom (magnifying glass, allowing details to be viewed by people with poor eyesight) has been added;
  • The use of multiple consoles has been adjusted — if preseed, is active, then instead of launching multiple consoles simultaneously, only one prioritized console is launched;
  • In systemd, the udev-udeb file 73-usb-net-by-mac.link is utilized;
  • The list of reserved usernames now includes input, kvm, and render (udev.postinst adds them as system groups);
  • Support for Librem 5 and OLPC XO-1.75 devices has been added.
