Il driver Mesa radv ha aggiunto il supporto per l'estensione Vulkan per la decodifica video VP9

David Airlie, maintainer of the DRM (Direct Rendering Manager) subsystem in the Linux kernel, announced the acceptance of changes into Mesa that add support for hardware-accelerated VP9 video decoding in the radv Vulkan driver (AMD GPU). This capability is implemented through the Vulkan extension VK_KHR_video_decode_vp9, prepared in the spring by the Vulkan WG working group. Hardware acceleration is available for AMD GPUs starting from Navi 10 based on the RDNA 1.0 microarchitecture. The implementation successfully passes all CTS (Compatibility Test Suite) tests.
