L'azienda HashiCorp, nota per lo sviluppo di strumenti open-source come Vagrant, Packer, Nomad e Terraform, ha annunciato una fuga di un chiave GPG riservata, utilizzata per generare firme digitali che verificano i rilasci. La fuga \u00e8 avvenuta a causa dell'uso nella infrastruttura di uno script Codecov Bash Uploader (codecov-bash) destinato a caricare report di copertura dai sistemi di integrazione continua. Durante un attacco all'azienda Codecov, un backdoor \u00e8 stato inserito nello script, attraverso il quale \u00e8 stata organizzata l'invio di password e chiavi di crittografia a server<\/a> malintenzionati. <\/p>\n Per il furto, gli aggressori hanno sfruttato una vulnerabilit\u00e0 nel processo di creazione dell'immagine Docker di Codecov, che consentiva di estrarre dati per accedere a GCS (Google Cloud Storage), necessari per apportare modifiche allo script Bash Uploader diffuso dal sito codecov.io. Le modifiche sono state apportate il 31 gennaio e sono rimaste inosservate per due mesi, permettendo ai malintenzionati di estrarre informazioni archiviate negli ambienti dei sistemi di integrazione continua dei clienti. Con il codice dannoso aggiunto, i malintenzionati hanno potuto ottenere informazioni sul repository Git testato e su tutte le variabili d'ambiente, comprese quelle contenenti token, chiavi di
