\u00c8 disponibile il rilascio della distribuzione Live di NomadBSD 130R-20210508, che rappresenta una versione di FreeBSD adattata per l'uso come desktop portatile, avviabile da una chiavetta USB. L'ambiente grafico \u00e8 basato sul window manager Openbox. Per il montaggio delle unit\u00e0 viene utilizzato DSBMD (che supporta il montaggio di CD9660, FAT, HFS+, NTFS, Ext2\/3\/4). La dimensione dell'immagine di avvio \u00e8 di 2.4 GB (x86_64). <\/p>\n

Nel nuovo rilascio, l'ambiente di base \u00e8 stato aggiornato a FreeBSD 13.0. \u00c8 stata proposta una nuova nomenclatura per le versioni, conforme al formato FFfX-YYYYMMDD, dove \u00abFFf\u00bb riflette il numero della versione base di FreeBSD, \u00abX\u00bb indica il tipo di rilascio (ALPHA \u2014 A, BETA \u2014 B, RELEASE \u2014 R), e YYYYMMDD include la data di compilazione. Questa nuova nomenclatura permetter\u00e0 di creare immagini basate su diverse versioni di FreeBSD e di vedere immediatamente quando \u00e8 stato preparato il rilascio e su quale versione di FreeBSD si basa. Tra le modifiche si segnala anche il passaggio all'allineamento delle partizioni su un confine di 1M per migliorare le prestazioni di scrittura sui dispositivi Flash. \u00c8 stato risolto un problema durante lo spegnimento di GLX. Sono stati aggiunti driver per VMware.
